Thursday, May 13th, 2004 - The Paper Heart
with Modified Pulse
Dorksformers! wookachookawonk! More than meets the eye! *tense chord* Dorksformers! wookachookawonk! Dorkobots wage the battle to destroy the evil forces of... the Lackofrockticons!
It was a fine time at the Paper Heart. We rocked until we could rock no more and thanks to Modified Pulse to picking up the torch and finishing the job burning the place down, not to mention bringing over so many enthused rockaholics. We hope our rock was the fat 84 mph fastball right in your wheelhouse that we try to serve up whenever we're on the mound. We want you to take us deep like we're Matt Mantei. Er, with that thought, on to the setlist.

Wednesday, April 28th, 2004 - Ziggy's Rock and Roll Lounge
Wow, that seriously kicked ass. Things turned out a little differently than we expected. We thought we were going to be the first of two or three bands, but due to various issues, the other acts canceled out. Dorks In Space was left with the sole responsibility of rocking the rock-hungry patrons of Ziggy's. Instead of a tidy little 40-minute set, we reshuffled and expanded on the spot and delivered two 35-minutish sets of Dorkness. At the management's insistence, I cranked the Sovtek quite a bit further than it usually gets in the dining room and boy that felt nice. We can't say "Thank You" enough to all y'all for showing up, on short short notice, in the middle of the week, just for us. And a big thank you to Jake and Josh and everyone at Ziggy's for the offering us this dangerous rock and roll commando operation. We hope everyone feels it was a smashing success, with dictatorships toppled, distressed damsels rescued, and peace, democracy, and power chords flowering everywhere. WE sure had fun.

Saturday, April 17th, 2004 - CD Release Party for "Free Range Astromeat"
I don't believe this band has ever rocked this hard, as evidenced by how out of
tune I managed to whack my low E string during "Black #1". I am seriously
shocked I did not break any strings during the performance. And we nailed all
the harmonies in "Cinnamon Girl". Jeremy has kindly posted some of his photos. Our set list was:

Much love to those sack-punishing nut cases moshing in the kitchen. We hope the
Humperdinck LP's and Nelson CD's and Harlequin romance novels keep their new
owners' hearts all warm and fuzzy. Stay tuned for photos and stuff.
